This is the Sacred Heart whole school blog.
We are a little late beginning this but better late than never I say! So our first task is to tell the world about ourselves so I would like as many of you as possible to write a short paragraph that sums up YOU!

My names Harriett i am 10 years old fromthe uk. i live with my mum, dad, sister, brother and my other sister. im in year 6 at sacred heart. at my home i have a fair few pets ihave: 2 dogs (kezz & brodie), 1 cat (bobby), 1 rabbit (thumper) the rabbit is my own pet to look after. My best friend is emma and my other friends are saskia, evie, tara, kourtney and lauren but i have much more friends. my hobbies are sailing, bike riding i like sailing best because its one of the things me and my best friend emma do together some of the things i really hate is football, calliflower and cucumber.i dont think any body in my class calls me by my real name exept my teacher because one day the word haz apeared and then it stook.

I’m Evie. My nickname’s evers which i prefer. Im 10 years old and almost 11. I have brown hair wihch is curly and i love it so much. I have green eyes, they are my favorite part of my body.I have my mum my dad and my brother josh. What is your family like id love to know? i have a kitten called compo.There is a reson for that because when we found him he was in our compos bin! I love to dance i go twice a week and id say i was pretty good. I do netball with all my freinds at school plus cheerleading and we got a troughy for the spirit award! My best freind is saskia we have known each other since nursary and wil stay that way for ever. I also have many other freinds.

My name is Emma, my nickname is Emzie. I am 10 years old and have an older sister who is 11 (nearly 12)she is called Keri-Ann and my mum and dad are great. I also have 1 rabbit who is getting old now and is very poorly. I go to school at Sacred Heart RC Primary School and im in year 6. I love to read, go sailing with my best friend Harriett also i love singing dancing and acting. My friends say im pretty good at singing. My best sport would be cheerleading. In fact a couple of months ago our cheerleading team won the spirit award, we were sooooo happy. I have greyish-blue eyes and golden blonde hair. I love fruit, vegetables, sweets and lots more. My favourite lesson at school is Art. Hope you have learnt a load about me. Thankyou.

Hi im Rory, I am 10 years old, i come from rochdale and I love drama. whats your favourite thing to do? do you know any good jokes because im allways up for a laugh? Have you ever played on http://www.ebil games.com i like to go on it because even though you are kicking a little animal around(a moglin) it is very fun. I personaly, am a big fan of the middle ages (and chocalate.) I know little bit of complicated spannish but not alot.

And Tara, Trust me I love typing and going on the computer too! I sometimes say i’m going to get off in 5 minutes, but actually I don’t get off for an hour! it is irresistable to play and blog…
I also LOVE typing and can type a whole sentence of “Hello my name is Nadine from the 08Allstars in Australia” in just 10 seconds!! Wow… eh? And you? How fast can you type that sentence?

It is never too late to start the competition. We have students from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Thailand, India and Portugal taking part. I’m Cointha from Victoria, Australia and I’m in grade 6 and 12 years old! I really love your blog!
Have any of you guys ever gone to Australia? Well I’ve been to the UK and lots of countries in Europe like Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, and more and in the UK I went to England, Wales and Scotland. (Scotland is really cold and windy!)The reason why I’ve been to all these countries is because I went on a 9 month holiday around Europe! It was pretty fun! You’ve got lots of old buildings and castles etc. LOL!!
We dont have any old stuff here because Australia is only 200 years old! We do have old natural landscapes though, like Uluru (Ayers Rock) and big rocks in the mountains that have been made into shapes from the wind.
For Christians comment, yes we do know what football is but we have different football to you! Your football we call soccer and we play that here too but our national football, (AFL) is quite different! It is sort of a cross between British and American football but the ball is shaped like an oval but more round than an American footy and the rules are very different and there are four goal posts.
Anyway, to tell you more about Australian football I will soon put a post on my blog about it if you want to look at it. My address is:
