The 5th of November

Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night is a uniquely British event when we “celebrate” the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot against the King and Parliament in the early 17th Century. In fact, nobody cares about the origins of the celebration anymore, but we all enjoy a good bonfire, firework display, and sausages on the 5th November each year!

Wow! Now i understand exactly what happens at Bonfire Night.
It must be real sad to see that barely anyone celebrates it anymore, because it is a tradition that should go on for generations!!
I hope you all have a terrific time eating sausages (Yum Yum!! :) ), watching the intriguing fireworks and not to forget, enjoy that great bonfire!!
According to me now, it is the 3rd of November.. so in 2 days is your celebration! Have fun!!
Hope to hear how it goes. :P

Hey everyone, I’m Ben, a kid from the United States. I see that you have fire works that go with your bonfire display. That’s so cool. I have firework displays, but they usually occur on the 4th of July. The bonfire thing sounds really interesting. Come visit my blog and tell me all about it.
    My blog is bene09.edublogs.org.
    P.S. I love sausages.

WOW! Having had a bonfire must’ve been great! There are so many British events and traditions, it’s hard to keep up! Celebrating the near death of a king seems pretty cool! :P

I hope no-one was burnt during the bonfire!

    Ramiz (Allstars) :cool

P.S Mmmmm! Those sausages must’ve been nice!
